GIKA Bus Service

 

Modern minibuses/vans (meets Korean regulation for school buses) are operated by safety conscious, child-friendly, experienced drivers. Onboard assistants can be contacted on their mobile telephone. All buses are equipped with a 5-point seatbelt for every child.

 

The Bus will try to pick up the kids to closest point near home however in some cases some common pick up points will be made and parents would be asked to pick the nearest possible bus stop for them .

 

Parents are urged to be punctual with pick-up and drop-off times allowing buses to stay on schedule (The bus would leave after waiting for1 min.only ).Please keep your contact no. updated as the staff will try to contact you during such events. In order to minimize any incidents on the bus, children should not bring toys or food/drink on the bus unless requested by the teacher for a special event or activity.

 

If Parents need to convey any messages to teachers or Admin staff please do so by direct email/Message as it is difficult for Bus assistants to carry conversations due to limited English and time constraint to stay on schedule.

 

Authorization to Collect Children

 

Except for GIKA parents, only persons with photo identification and prior written approval from a parent may pick up your child. Please keep GIKA informed and updated if there are any changes with this. If parents/guardians are not at the place on time, the bus will bring him/her back to school. If there any changes with the collection of your child, please inform admin staff and the assistant teacher on their bus at least 1 hour in advance.

 

*Bus facility is included in School fee .There is no extra fee/reimbursment depending on the use of bus service.

 

GIKA buses only pick-up and drop-off children in certain areas. These areas include:

 

Gohyeon-dong

Jangpyeong-dong

Suwol-dong

Okpo-dong

Deokpo-dong

Aju-dong

Sang-dong

 

 

 

     

     Bus schedule is subject to change many times during the year depending on student and bus avaialbilty in certain areas.
